Your Church Team
Come and build a house with your own hands! We invite you to recruit a team from your own church and build together in one of 40 countries. Volunteers make a genuine difference to families living in poverty housing and, treading in the footsteps of Christ, they bring a powerful message that the poor are not forgotten. They encounter poverty and overcome it by the powerful solution of faith in action, and they build each other up as they serve the homepartner families. Kevin Simpson, who led his team of Christians and non-Christians to Chile, said, “Since returning, two of the team members have started to attend their local church … faith has grown through the experience … and my desire to see others come into a relationship with God is stronger than ever: God can use Habitat for Humanity for so much more than building houses.”
Sponsor A Volunteer From Your Church
By sponsoring individual volunteers, your church has the opportunity to send its members to the front line of practical mission. Your church can support a volunteer though prayer and fundraising so that they can intervene directly in the lives of our homepartner families by building safe, decent homes. They will live and work alongside the community in one or two week projects; there are currently opportunities in 10 countries, including Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Chile and Cambodia. These teams are made up of individuals from all walks of life, unified by the same goal of giving a hand up to a family in poverty.
