So why is Hope Challenge unique and exciting? Why should you and your team mates get involved?

Unique

Because not only will you and your team have to navigate challenging routes in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside but you'll also have to build, and sleep in, your very own team shelter. In advance of the event you will be given a set of strict criteria and then you must come to the Peak District with your shelter components. We're not allowing anything new, or anything prefabricated… it has to be built from scrap materials. Everything needs to be recycled afterwards. And we love innovative designs and creative finishing touches.

Why? Because Habitat for Humanity builds safe, decent homes for families living in poverty. Every day one third of the world's population wakes up without a decent roof over their heads. Hope Challenge is in aid of these people. We'll help you learn about what it's like to live in poverty, by both giving you a feel for it and by educating you to the issues behind it. Each of the different stages in the Hope Challenge event are designed to both challenge you and develop your understanding.

Exciting

Because we've got a few surprises up our sleeve. It's not just a walk. You will need to work as a team to overcome a few challenges around each corner of the route. But mostly because your participation in Hope Challenge will truly change people's lives. We are looking for teams of people who want to rise to the challenge of raising funds in support of the 2 billion people living in poverty housing around the world. Hope Challenge is about both raising awareness and raising money. We want you to challenge yourself as a team to raising at least £2,950. We'll help you... are you up for it?

Need more reasons to take part?

Just look at the reasons why previous participants would recommend Hope Challenge:

  • To develop our team
  • To take on a challenge
  • To have some fun
  • To support a great cause

And listen to what they have to say:

  • "Sleeping in my own bed after sleeping in our makeshift shelter was such a contrast." - James from Coutts
  • "This was the most professional fundraising event we've ever been to. We had a fantastic time." - Rob from Hedge Funds for Habitat UK
  • "We used each others skills, the event was great for team moral and we built and secured relationships within our company too." - Saira from NHBC

Simply get 3 - 6 people together and enter your team now. We'll send you all you need to register, to start fundraising and to prepare for the physical and mental challenge that will await you in the Peak District!
