Global Village is Habitat for Humanity's international volunteering programme. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to travel overseas to work hand-in-hand with people around the world to help them build safe, decent homes.

 

Volunteers work with low-income families who invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity into building their own house and those of their neighbours. Time and again Global Village volunteers experience transformation in their own lives as they work with people living with the indignity of poverty housing.

 

Our international volunteering trips last one to three weeks. It's about more than building houses … you will:

• Make friends with other volunteers and the homeowner family

• Learn about poverty housing firsthand and bring hope to a family in need

 

It takes enthusiasm and motivation to participate in our international volunteering challenges. No other skills are required! There will be supervisors on hand to show you how to build.
