A Global Village Challenge brings new hope to families and their local communities. Volunteers play an important part in our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Volunteers not only bring their labour and fundraising, but more importantly they bring laughter, motivation and a powerful message that the poor are not forgotten.

Have a look at the international volunteering challenges we have lined up for you this year and choose the one that suits you best! Habitat for Humanity currently completes a house every 21 minutes – you can play a key part in ensuring this continues!

A Global Village Challenge consists of a dozen or so volunteers led by a trained and experienced team leader. Volunteers work with the new homeowners to build safe, decent homes. The emphasis is on teamwork and we recruit a good mix of people from different backgrounds.

Habi-fact: In 2007 Habitat for Humanity Great Britain alone sent 888 volunteers to build all over the world.
