Not Your Average Charity Shop

Whether you are a DIYer, homeowner, renter, landlord, or treasure hunter, make ReStore your first stop when shopping for your next home improvement project.

What is ReStore?

Habitat for Humanity Great Britain ReStore is an independently owned charity shop that supports vulnerable people in need of safe and decent housing. Nestled amidst the vibrant energy of London, our ReStore is committed to redefining how we approach community support and environmental stewardship. As the first ReStore in the UK’s capital, we take pride in offering a unique shopping experience with an extensive range of quality items. From furniture to DIY materials, every purchase supports our mission to build a better future for the community. Join us in this initiative, where conscious consumerism meets community development, and discover a world of possibilities at Habitat for Humanity ReStore GB.

Why ReStore?

At ReStore, we accept donations, upcycle products and sell high-quality, low cost furniture to customers to support our Empty Spaces Project. Designed to combat housing poverty whilst advancing the circular economy, ReStore extends the established ‘charity shop’ concept to recycle not only furniture and electrical appliances, but uniquely unwanted DIY and home materials including curtains, bricks, paving, insulation, bathrooms, kitchens, and even the nuts and bolts to hold everything together. The idea of ReStore has been tried and tested around the world for many years by other Habitat for Humanity offices with great success. Today there are over 1,000 ReStores successfully operating across Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Poland and Northern Ireland.

ReStore offers a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Every product sold at ReStore not only helps the people we serve through our projects in Great Britain and around the world, but also diverts reusable household items and building materials from landfills.
