During the twenty or so years that I have worked at Baillie Gifford the firm has grown and become very successful. This success has allowed Baillie Gifford to give back by helping both charities in the local community and also organisations such as Habitat for Humanity.
The feedback from the participants from the previous two trips to India and Cambodia have given me the encouragement to volunteer for one of the two groups going to Mozambique in 2011. Baillie Gifford generously funded most of the trip, however, the lucky volunteers had to raise as much as we could for the charity. We built homes for orphans and families in Maputo who really need them.

Those of you who know me will realise that I tried to get fitter ahead of this challenge. I found it to be a very humbling and emotional experience and hope that I lived up to the faith and trust in me given by my family, friends and colleagues who supporting me.

Earlier events have included Bag Packing and selling Christmas Cards. Recent events have included a wine tasting which was sold out and a Masquerade Ball on 8th April which was very successful. We also had a raffle at Easter we held a DVD & CD sale. Lastly we had another successful bag packing and wine testing in August just before we left. You can now see pics of our work. Enjoy!!
