Where we build: Europe and Central Asia

Habitat for Humanity works in 18 countries in Europe and Central Asia and we have already helped over 1,000 families in the region. In this section, we offer a flavour of each of the countries that will be helped through HopeBuilders, as we give people a hand up out of poverty housing.

Fact: Even in Western European countries, housing poverty is an issue. In 1995, nearly 95,000 houses in Portugal were classed as substandard.
