Poverty Housing – Let’s Nail It!

For over half a decade, the Home Builders Federation has partnered with house builders across the country, raising over £620,000 to lift people out of poverty by supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity.

Hope Builders give a safe and decent place to call home to people living in poverty housing. The Hope Builders campaign is a collaboration between HBF and Habitat for Humanity and is a chance to demonstrate an industry-wide social responsibility commitment to help some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world. Hope Builders help these people lift themselves out of poverty by partnering with them to build their homes and develop their communities.

Habitat for Humanity helps vulnerable and disadvantaged people build homes in over 70 countries. The average home costs £3,000.* Please commit to becoming a Hope Builder. You, your colleagues and associates can raise multiples of this average house cost and make a huge difference. You will be joining a campaign that is helping families enjoy health and hope that they have never previously known.

If you would like to see for yourself the impact of this work, we would be delighted to work with you to organise an international volunteer building trip for your organisation.

*£3,000 is an accurate representation of the average cost of a home across three of our low income countries. As this campaign is not restricted, Hope Builder donations will be used where the need is greatest.
