International volunteering trip costs

Every trip is priced based on the costs associated with hosting and supporting volunteers. There is a minimum donation of £500 (included in the trip costs) and a £250 registration fee for all volunteer trips abroad.

£400 of the donation goes directly to the hosting country and the remaining funds support Habitat for Humanity's humanitarian work worldwide.

Fundraising for your trip

Once you've paid your registration fee, you can choose to fundraise the remaining balance. You can fundraise for the full costs of your volunteer project abroad, minus the £250 registration fee. In our Fundraising Resources you will find some great ideas on how to start fundraising.

Included in the trip costs

  • Meals and water on-site

  • Cultural activities in-country

  • Medical and evacuation insurance

  • Support from your team leader

  • Access to fundraising resources

  • Local host coordinator and translator

  • Welcome orientation

  • Tools & building materials

  • 24 hour in-country support

  • Home handover ceremony with partner family

Not included in the trip costs

  • Plane tickets

  • Passports, visa, vaccinations & anti-malaria tablets (if required)

  • Any pre or post Build activities, personal spending money and tips
