Please leave ample time to get to the Event Base Camp to avoid arriving late.

N.B. Please note that there will be no lunch at the base camp. Afternoon tea will be available.

From 12:00 – 16:00 Teams arrive at the Event Base Camp to register.
12:00 – 18:00 Shelter Build Challenge takes place. It will be down tools at 18:00 so allow plenty of time.
18:30 Shelter Judging
19:30 – 20:30 Dinner served
20:45 Opening Presentation and Event Briefing
23:00 Base Camp Quiet Time

 

Saturday 29th June 2019

07:00 Breakfast served
08:00 Trek and Mental Challenges start
16:30 All teams to have completed trek and mental challenges
19:00 Dinner
20:30 Presentation of Awards and Thank You
23:30 Base Camp Quiet Time

  • NOTE: the postcode is not likely to take you to the exact location, so please follow directions below once you get into Castleton

 

Directions by car

From the South M1 & Chesterfield

Once in Castleton, follow these instructions:

  • Once you have gone past Ye Olde Cheshire Inn and Peveril Stores as the crossroads take the right hand turn down Millbridge
  • Continue straight through to Hollowford Road
  • After 300 meters on Hollowford Road bear right into the Hollowford centre and follow the marshal and car parking instructions.

 

From the North M1 & Sheffield

Once in Castleton, follow these instructions:

  • Once you have gone past Ye Olde Cheshire Inn and Peveril Stores as the crossroads take the right hand turn down Millbridge
  • Continue straight through to Hollowford Road
  • After 300 meters on Hollowford Road bear right into the Hollowford centre and follow the marshal and car parking instructions.

 

From the South M6 and Stoke-on-Trent

Once in Castleton, follow these instructions:

  • Once you have gone past Ye Olde Cheshire Inn and Peveril Stores as the crossroads take the right hand turn down Millbridge
  • Continue straight through to Hollowford Road
  • After 300 meters on Hollowford Road bear right into the Hollowford centre and follow the marshal and car parking instructions.

 

From the M61 & Manchester

Once in Castleton, follow these instructions:

  • Continue straight through to Hollowford Road
  • After 300 meters on Hollowford Road bear right into the Hollowford centre and follow the marshal and car parking instructions.

 

Train information

  • The nearest train station is in Hope 2.5 miles away
  • There are direct trains from both Manchester (approx 50 minutes) and Sheffield (approx 30 minutes) operated by Northern Rail Trains.
