Sahana ran towards danger – now she’s building safety
In the tightly packed community of Duaripara, Dhaka, fire can break out in an instant…spreading rapidly, threatening lives and destroying everything in its path. When disaster struck, Sahana didn’t run. She rushed towards the flames to help her neighbours escape.
Thanks to support from Habitat for Humanity, Sahana is now a trained leader, working with other locals to build a safer future. She’s helping her community access clean water, improve sanitation, and reduce fire risk but there’s still so much more to do.
