What is ReStore?
Habitat for Humanity ReStore Great Britain is a home improvement retail store dedicated to supporting vulnerable people in need of safe and decent housing. Based in the vibrant community of London, our ReStore is a social enterprise that plays a pivotal role in funding Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to create affordable housing and promote sustainable communities. As the first ReStore in Great Britain, we are proud to offer a unique shopping experience with an extensive range of quality items. From furniture to DIY materials, every purchase directly supports our mission to build a better future for the community. Join us in this initiative, where conscious consumerism drives social impact and discover a world of possibilities.

At ReStore, we accept donations and sell high quality items to customers to support our Empty Spaces to Homes programme. Designed to combat housing poverty whilst advancing the circular economy, ReStore extends the established ‘charity shop’ concept to recycle not only furniture and appliances, but uniquely unwanted DIY and home materials including doors, windows, bathrooms, kitchens, and even the nuts and bolts to hold everything together. The idea of ReStore has been tried and tested around the world for over 30 years by other Habitat for Humanity offices with great success. Today there are over 1,000 ReStores successfully operating across Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Poland and Ireland.
