Supporting Refugees
When Marina and her daughters fled the war in Ukraine they became refugees in Poland.
With your support we have been able to rehome Marina and her children in safe and decent accommodation in Warsaw, Poland.
Supporting refugees from Ukraine is not the first time that Habitat for Humanity has worked to improve living conditions for refugees. In Lebanon, we have also supported vulnerable families that have fled Syria.
Why Disaster Response?
We have more than 40 years of experience building safe, affordable housing. Natural disasters, war, and other catastrophes blight the lives of people around the world leaving people displaced, traumatised and vulnerable. Disaster brings other short-term and long-term dangers: homelessness, famine, disease, and insecurity.
This is why we work tirelessly with our incredible donors and other Habitat for Humanity offices around the world to help victims of disaster rebuild their lives from ruin to recovery.
