What We Do

We share best practice and learning on converting empty buildings into social and affordable housing, covering topics such as funding, partnerships, local authority engagement, research and community needs. Together, we work to influence housing policy, deliver and scale Empty Spaces to Homes projects across Great Britain, and develop tools and resources to support partners.

Our coalition brings together organisations committed to addressing the housing crisis, reducing waste and supporting the delivery of safe, decent and affordable housing.

What’s It Like Being a Member?

As a coalition member, you’ll have opportunities to attend meetings and events, share learning, discuss research findings and build relationships with others working to address the housing crisis. There is no fee to join, and you are not required to participate in every working group. When joining, you can outline the level of involvement that works for your organisation and its capacity. We ask that you seek approval from your organisation before joining. Take a look at our Terms of Reference to find out more.
