Everyone deserves clean water and sanitation

Billions of people live without reliable access to clean water and sanitation. Our WASH programs combine ‘hardware’ such as latrines, water points and handwashing stations with ‘software’ like hygiene education, to ensure long-term effective use. We prioritise the needs of women and girls, who are most affected by unsafe water and sanitation.

How our WASH programs work

We combine physical infrastructure with education, so families and communities keep the benefits of clean water and sanitation.

Assessing community needs

We work with residents to understand water, sanitation and hygiene gaps, including risks specific to women, girls and children.

Building infrastructure

We help build or improve water points, latrines and handwashing stations designed to fit the community’s needs and resources.

Implementing behaviour change

Hygiene education and training help families and schools maintain healthy habits long after the project ends.
