Empty Spaces to Homes Phase 2
We have piloted a groundbreaking solution to the housing crisis, showing how vacant commercial and retail properties can be transformed through retrofitting. In Phase 2, we will explore how scaling this approach can help to address Great Britain’s urgent need for affordable housing.
ReStore
We have launched a discounted DIY and homeware retail offer in GB, offering households an affordable way to maintain and improve their homes, while raising income to support Habitat’s mission.
Advocate
Elevating the importance of housing as an international development priority, emphasising the links between housing and priority issues like women’s empowerment, climate change impacts, and livelihoods.
Amplify
Enhance the effectiveness of housing programmes and impact of our partners in national offices across the Habitat Network by strengthening technical support, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks.
