By donating to Habitat ReStore GB, you’re not only reducing waste but also supporting sustainability. Instead of throwing away perfectly good items, you can help someone else find value in them.
The funds raised from your donations go directly to building affordable homes, making a real difference in the lives of local families.
Items we accept
We accept a wide variety of items in good condition. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Home Goods: lamps, lighting, knobs, screws, nails, tools
Building Materials: doors, windows, cabinets, sinks, flooring, tiles
Furniture: chairs, tables, sofas (with fire safety labels) and more
Working Appliances: fridges, ovens, washing machines and other large appliances
Home Décor: lighting, textiles and home accessories
If you’re unsure whether we can take something, please get in touch before you visit.
What can’t I donate?
To ensure safety and maintain the quality of items we resell, there are some donations we cannot accept:
- Fencing of any type
- Bricks or large masonry items
- Used mattresses and box springs
- Hazardous materials (chemicals, gasoline, propane)
- Torn or damaged furniture
- Unframed mirrors or glass
- Non-working appliances
- Children’s and baby furniture (cribs, highchairs, etc.)
- Exercise equipment
- Medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, adjustable beds)
- Lumber containing nails
