Susan is a senior financial services leader and lawyer with extensive experience across legal, governance, risk, compliance and business management. Before joining BlackRock, she was EMEA Deputy Chair and General Counsel at the Bank of New York Mellon, having previously spent 17 years at Morgan Stanley in Legal and Compliance and Firm Management.

Susan began her legal career at Clifford Chance, working in both Hong Kong and London. Throughout her career, she has also been a strong advocate for inclusion and diversity, including through her work supporting the advancement of women.

She has been recognised by the Financial Times and HERoes as a role model for women and has appeared several times in Financial News’ 100 Most Influential Women in Finance.
