Stories from Thailand

In Thailand we build decent housing and have supported relief efforts following natural disasters in the country. Disasters such as droughts and devastating flooding in 2011-2012 and the subsequent flood in 2013 also affect many low-income families.

Thailand Overview

We’ve been tackling housing poverty in Thailand since we began working in the northeastern province of Udon Thani in 1998. Since July 2007, our team has been operating through its national office in Bangkok and resource centres located in the North, Northeast and South.

The country has met the majority of its Millennium Development Goals ahead of the 2015 deadline. However, vulnerable groups such as migrants, informal workers, and displaced persons, are not equally benefiting from Thailand’s economic successes.
