For more than 30 years, Habitat for Humanity International and Wells Fargo have worked side by side, bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Affordable housing has a significant impact on building generational wealth, educational success, physical health, and a sense of safety and connection.
Wells Fargo and the Wells Fargo Foundation share Habitat’s focus on opening doors to a safe, affordable and decent place to call home – the basis for wellness, dignity and economic opportunity. Since 2015, Wells Fargo has donated more than US$102 million to Habitat for Humanity International and local affiliates. That includes support for new home construction and repairs, assistance so older adults can stay in their homes, neighbourhood revitalisation and disaster response efforts.
Through the 2025 Wells Fargo Builds® programme, the company is providing more than US$4.6 million in grant funding to Habitat for Humanity International to help more than 200 families across 131 communities nationwide as they build or improve the place they call home. Wells Fargo’s funding also helps Habitat build systems that advance housing equity for all people and address policies that have prevented access to safe and affordable housing.
Wells Fargo serves the community by not only using its business expertise and financial assets but also providing another key resource: people. Through the years, thousands of Wells Fargo employees have put on hard hats and picked up hammers. Their volunteers work shoulder to shoulder with homeowners, building more prosperous and vibrant communities.
