Habitat for Humanity appoints new CEO

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Meryl Davies as new CEO.

Meryl will join Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (HFHGB) as CEO on Wednesday 4 November 2015.  The new CEO comes to HFHGB having spent several years in the INGO sector. First at SOS Children’s Villages UK where she was Director of Fundraising, and more recently at Right To Play UK. At Right to Play UK, Meryl has been the National Director for the last two years.  Meryl moved into NGO management after a decade spent working in fundraising and communications within the University of Cambridge.

In addition, Meryl studied Social Anthropology at SOAS, University of London.  She has an MSc in NGO Management from Cass Business School and a Diploma in Charity Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.  Meryl is an affiliated member of ICSA. The chartered membership and qualifying body for people working in governance, risk and compliance. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.  She is also an Honorary Member of the Combination Room at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.  Meryl lives in London with her family and enjoys reading and travel.
