Director of Development
I ensure that we make the most of our relationships with our donors, partners, volunteers and followers to deliver the best impact for the communities we support. My day to day job is never the same, some days I work with our incredible corporate partners to support impactful programmes in Malawi, Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Poland and the UK, other days I work with the team to deliver inspiring stories encouraging our supporters to get more deeply involved in our work. I manage an incredible team of fundraisers and storytellers and look forward to learning something new from our work around the world every day.
Head of Impact
Akira's role is to increase the effectiveness and funding of our programmes by working with institutional donors, foundations, and trusts. He writes proposals for new projects and manages grants and budgets to ensure that all of the anticipated projects will run smoothly for Habitat for Humanity Great Britain.
Individual Giving Manager
The Individual Giving Manager oversees fundraising from our individual supporters – covering everything from our communications plan, appeal and newsletter production, and looking after our gifts in Wills programme. A key part of our individual giving programme is being able to share inspiring stories from our work around the world with our incredible donors to keep them up-to-date with how their support is changing the lives of families in housing poverty.
Database and Income Processing Officer
My role is to look after the database to ensure that all of our records are up to date and accurate. I also support the finance team to process any income that we receive from appeals and fundraising activities. I run reports on Raisers Edge for different departments when required and also provide step by step training on how to generate reports for their certain departments.
My role is to ensure the smooth running of financial systems at Habitat for Humanity Great Britain. I am responsible for timely and accurate processing of all transactions and work with all of our teams to make sure that the utilisation of funds is in line with the agreements made, and that we have all the supporting documents required for audits.
Corporate Partnerships Manager
I am the day to day contact for our Corporate partners. I’m on hand to help with any queries that that they may have, suggest fundraising ideas and ensure they are updated with the progress of projects that they are supporting. Taking part in overseas house building trips has allowed me to see the impact of our work first hand. These experiences fuel my enthusiasm when talking to partners and helping them to achieve their targets. In my free time, I love to bake cakes, brownies, cupcakes, and anything else that is sweet, and I enjoy being active and outdoors.
Khadija’s role is to look after the Empty Spaces to Homes Project and Coalition whilst supporting our work with corporate partners more widely. She is an environment and sustainability specialist with core expertise in social impact assessment processes and stakeholder management. Khadija has contributed to multi-themed development projects through technical support, research and development, project management, and capacity building by means of trainings, workshops, conferences, mentorship programmes and stakeholder engagement.
Programme Development Manager
At HFHGB, we have domestic and overseas projects, I am responsible for managing these projects and am also involved in project design and monitoring. I work with implementing countries to develop proposals that are all addressing housing poverty in their specific contexts. As part of my role, I monitor these projects and also ensure that funders are provided with the information that showcases the transformative impact of their support. I also play a part in partnership management and fundraising from institutional donors and partner corporations.
Head of Philanthropy, Trusts, and Foundations
My role means I get to work closely with individual donors and grant making trusts who share Habitat for Humanity’s vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent home, and want to make an investment in making that happen. I have a background in fundraising for a range of organisations and causes, including social welfare issues in the UK and international development. I enjoy meeting, and talking to people, and building long last relationships to support the growth of our work.
Head of Partnerships
In my role I work closely with our amazing Corporate Partners to raise funds and awareness for our programmes both in the UK and globally. I am passionate about joining forces with partners who share our goals and values, as together we can achieve far greater impact than by working on our own. I enjoy working closely with businesses, building partnerships which have a transformational impact on the lives of our beneficiaries and create meaningful opportunities to engage employees in Habitat for Humanity’s work.
I have joined the Habitat for Humanity team as the Upcycling Manager for the newly created Upcycling Workshop where I will be working with the corporate volunteer teams who will be helping to repair and upcycle furniture that would otherwise end up in landfill or go to waste. I have always had a passion for upcycling and can often be found carrying an unwanted piece of furniture home that has been abandoned on the street! I enjoy sharing my creative skills with others and showing that with a little bit of elbow grease and a lick of paint new life can be given to a piece of furniture for many more years of use. I am looking forward to supporting the Empty Spaces to Homes programme which transforms disused spaces into decent housing for young people transitioning out of the care system by furnishing these spaces with upcycled furniture.
